ryan was glad to be at school again. everywhere he looked, there were gorgeous, /wealthy/ girls. as he made his way towards his dorm house with his two large luggage by his sides, he couldn't help but to make remarks like "hey there good lookin" "hey cutie, you should call me sometime" and etc. since he had such an adorable british accent, most girls couldn't help but smile.

after a summer of what ellie thought was uneventful, it was surprising to see her actually excited to go to school. while many of the other girls in her school went clubbing and spent endless days and nights partying, ellie was working long hours to make ends meet.
 
after she finishing unpacking and breaking in her new dorm, ellie wandered the campus aimlessly, pretending to text until she could find someone to talk to.

♡ being a legal adult, cory's parents were eager for him to move out because of his juvenile behavior, so they basically kicked him out on the streets. luckily, he's found a small apartment that he could afford (for now), but is still struggling with financial issues. to make ends meet for him to have a regular reputation and school life, he's stuck with being a drug dealer and has to keep his second life as a marijuana guru on the down-low. cory might do some crazy things, get bad grades, and parties a lot, but he doesn't want to be the one guy who's a major pothead. which brings us to the second thing, his image & reputation. if you were to ask anyone at north shore what they thought of cory, they'd say something along the lines of: "he's so funny!" "he's such a show-off!" "he's sooo dreamy!" "he's dumb as h.ell!" and etc. cory's spent years building up the person he is now, the popular boy that everyone loves, and says they hate him (but they know they love him ;)] but at home he's not the loud, obnoxious kid he portrays. he's the kid who appreciates classical music, modern art, and fashion. i know what you're thinking, no he isn't gay. that's exactly the reason why he's afraid of expressing the real him, they'd treat him like he's some alien. even though it does seem like he needs to get his life sorted out, he likes having the best of both worlds; being popular, yet doing and appreciating what he loves behind closed doors.
 
for the third, i'm going to bring it back to his parents. cory never really mentions his parents to anybody, and nobody ever mentions his parents. it's like a small buzz around north shore,it's almost like they don't exist. his parents? they're both asian. it obvious cory was adopted. he's known he was adopted ever since he was five, and his whole life up until now he's always wondered why they've never told him, even now when he's a legal adult. it makes him feel unwanted, unappreciated, unaccepted by his biological parents; the base reason of why he wouldn't dare to show the slightly-feminine version of him. he doesn't /ever/ want to feel unwanted, unappreciated, and unaccepted by anyone ever again.
